15 more days to the best OS i have used. The new release of Ubuntu is almost upon us!
Its been almost 2 years since i set sail from the Microsoft shores and landed on the wonderful utopia that is Ubuntu. My reason to leave windows was an obvious one. I didnt have an original Windows XP disc. Even though you can copied disks from various places e.g the subcontinent, the constant "Connect me to windows to show Microsoft that i am a real copy and you are not a theif" was a real pain in the ass!!!
So i moved on to Ubuntu at my brother's advice. It was a learning curve. I didnt know my kb from my kB..i still dont. But in the end i managed not only to set up Ubuntu but also configure its various components. Needless to say ive never looked back!!!
Now ubuntu 08/10 is almost here and i eagerly await it because this system promises to be faster, better and sexier than anything thats come before it. Hell, they even have a spinny cube thing....

Now if they would only sort out my phone (openmoko not included) id be happy but i think that could take a while!!!
