Hands up if your parents had it worse than you!
By which i mean they walked ten miles to school.
Lived off nothing
Everybody took turns wearing the same shirt.
They had a lentil curry for 4 days.
They always zone out to "good old days". Usually accompanied by a glint in the eye.
They always respected their elders. Not like youngsters these days.
They were courteous to women and offered them a seat if she was standing. (Unless it was a woman who was sitting so this didn’t really apply).
They worked from morning till dusk only stopping for refueling for 5 minutes and then starting again.
Their dads kept making them lift bricks from one place and put them in another place purely coz he couldn’t see them sitting around doing nothing.
No one just sat around idle.
Times were slower for them back then.
